This privacy policy describes the personal data collected or generated (processed) when you use The Launch websites (“Sites”) and mobile applications (“Apps”). It also explains how your personal data is used, shared and protected, what choices you have relating to your personal data and how you can contact us.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The purpose of this privacy statement is to inform individuals on how The Launch securely collects and processes data so that privacy is maintained. The Launch respects and protects privacy in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws. Further explanation is given here within on what kinds of personal data The Launch processes, the purpose of processing and how The Launch may share personal data with third parties.

PERSONAL DATA

The reason we use your personal data is because of the contractual agreements between you and The Launch. We use your personal data to manage your online purchases from The Launch, process your orders and returns via our online services and inform you about the delivery status or any problem in relation to the delivery of the items you have ordered. We also use your personal data to manage your payments, to handle complaints and warranty cases for products and to be able to identify you and confirm your address with external partners.

We can also use your data if we have a ‘legitimate interest’ in doing so. This means that we want to provide all our customers with the optimal personal service. We always take your privacy into account in this context. We may also have a statutory obligation to use your data, if we suspect fraud, for instance. And in other cases, you yourself have given us consent to use your data, as is the case when you sign up for the newsletter.

COLLECTED DATA

The Launch may process the below data for the purposes as described below:

– First and last name: in order to deliver your order to the right person.
– Address: for the correct delivery of your order.
– Telephone number (optional): if we want to inform you about your order, we sometimes contact you by telephone.
– Email address: every time you place an order, you receive e-mails from us at various points in the process to keep you abreast of the processing and delivery of your order.
– Payment details: your payment details are sent directly to the bank via a secure connection.
– IP address: your IP address is saved when you place an order so that any abuse of payment details can be detected.
– Your past purchases: to see what products have been in your order(s).
– Behavior on site

This list is not exhaustive and The Launch may collect and process data that is useful for its services. Not all data above is collected and processed for every customer, supplier and business partners. Often the data is limited to only a few of the above details. The data collected is dependent upon the purpose of processing.

WHERE DO WE SAVE YOUR DATA?

The Launch always use strict security measures. Your data is virtually always saved within the European Union. In the exceptional case that customer data is transferred to countries outside the European Union, we make sure that your privacy is still appropriately protected. The Launch takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised amendment. WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA?

We only pass on your data to other parties if this is genuinely necessary for our service provision. These are parties in the following categories:

– Delivery partners
– Payment partners
– IT service providers

The parties to whom we provide access to your data may only use this data to provide you with a service on behalf of The Launch. Unless they themselves are responsible for obtaining and protecting your data.

We will never forward, sell or exchange your data to/with third parties outside of The Launch for marketing purposes. Data that is forwarded to third parties is only used to provide you with our services.

HOW LONG WILL WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

The Launch shall store data no longer than necessary. The Launch will only store the data in line with legal retention periods and based on lawfulness of processing.

The Launch may store personal data to fulfill the legal grounds of a contractual obligation, legal obligation and to prepare, defense or exercise legal claims and in general where The Launch has a legitimate interest to doing so. The Launch may also store data which is given through consent.

You have the right to delete your account at any time. If you opt to do so, your account will cease to exist and you will be regarded as inactive. We save your personal data if required to do so under statutory regulations or if there is an open dispute.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

Right of access: You have the right to request information about the personal data we have stored on you at any time. You can contact The Launch at hello@thelaunchofficial.com

Right to data portability: If The Launch processes your personal data in an automated manner, based on your consent or based on a contract, you have the right to have a copy of your data handed over to you or another party in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. This only pertains to the personal data you have provided to us.

To be certain that it is in fact you that has submitted the request to inspect data, we ask that you send a copy of your identification along with the request. In this copy, please block out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than within four weeks.

Right to rectification: You have the right to request the correction of your personal data if this is incorrect, which includes the right to supplement incomplete personal data. If you have a The Launch account, you can amend your personal data yourself in your account.

Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request that we temporarily or permanently stop processing all or some of your personal data. You can request this by sending an e-mail to hello@thelaunchofficial.com.

Right to erasure: You have the right to have the personal data processed by The Launch deleted at any time. You can request this by sending an e-mail to hello@thelaunchofficial.com We will delete your data within four weeks.

Right to object to processing based on a legitimate interest: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest on the part of The Launch. The Launch will not continue to process the personal data unless we can demonstrate a legal basis for the processing that outweighs your interests and rights or as a result of legal claims.

The Launch uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a tiny text file that is stored in the browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The Launch uses cookies with purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website is working properly and that your preferences are remembered, for instance. These cookies are also used to be able to optimize the website. We also place cookies that track your browsing so that we can show you tailored content and advertisements.

MINORS

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. This privacy statement can change from time to time and the most current statement is regularly published on The Launch website. If The Launch processes major changes to this policy the customer, supplier or business partner will be kept informed by a notification on our website.
